Treasury to the Armies.

The notes of the Treasury to the Armies. This issue took place in 1917. These bills of 0.50, 1 and 2 francs circulate in France in combat zones. they serve to prevent divisional coins of the same value from falling into the hands of the enemy. The first issue bears the inscription: the refund of this note, the equivalent value of which is deposited with the Banque de France, must be requested before the expiry of the 2nd year following the cessation of hostilities. On the second issue the same text postpones the refund to the 4th year.
